JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Team Lead supports the Government with all quality functions of the NASA Aircraft Maintenance, Logistics, Integration, Configuration Management and Engineering (ALICE) contract. This position will provide quality control and related quality assurance duties for contractor and Government personnel coordinating with the Government Quality Assurance Officer to ensure safe flight operations and maintenance following the Government-approved Quality Assurance Plan. This position will report into the NASA Chief, Aircraft Quality Branch.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1) Must have demonstrated experience in leading a diverse team of quality inspectors that conduct a wide-variety of production inspections, audits, monitoring, and surveillance associated with aircraft, avionics and electrical systems, aircrew life support system or NDI techniques.
2) Knowledge of AS-9110 and be able to assess compliance with approved technical data, processes and procedures.
3) Four (4) years of aircraft quality control inspector experience with fixed wing, commercial, Government or DoD aircraft or five (5) years of demonstrated Quality Control management or Team Lead Experience.
4) Experience in root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions and be able to develop and initiate corrective action plans.
5) Must have strong interpersonal and team building skills, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6) Experience with NASA or other Government contracting agencies.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
May require Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airplane and/or Powerplant Certification.
May require FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
