JOB DESCRIPTION
Providing comprehensive Logistics support to the NASA Aircraft Maintenance and Operations Contract.  This position will be:
-Responsible for purchasing, shipping, stocking, receiving, receiving inspections, issuing, and inventory of materials (consumables, expendables, rotables, tooling, etc.) including HAZMAT, compressed and liquid gasses (i.e. N2, GOX, LOX) in support of aircraft maintenance
-Evaluates vendor RFQ/RFP responses to determine most desirable suppliers
-Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logisitics plans which affect production, distribution, and inventory.
-Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements
-Assist with planning, organizing, and managing critical aspects of the development, production, and deployment of capabilities using Government, and local logisitics policies, procedures, and functionalities, and financial data requirements of acquistion logistics disciplines
-Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
-Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
-Coordinate, schedule, and support the team's participation in integrated logistics support team meetings.
-Act as a subject matter expert for acquisition logistics matters and assist with the development or review of logistics policy and procedures that help implement Government client specific initiatives.
-Performs audits in support of Company, NASA, and AS9110 requirements.
-Manage/oversee tooling calibration process.
-Manage/oversee HASMAT control and disposal process.
-Monitor employee training qualifications and records.
-Manage employee onboarding and exit process.
-Manage travel and documentation, coordinate with NASA.
-Support AMOC and visitor badging requirements.
-Experience driving a forklift.
-Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
-Other duties as assigned. 
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-Requires 6+ years of experience in the aircraft logistics or related field.
-Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the logisitcs field.
-Prior aircraft material purchasing.
-Familiar with Costpoint is a plus.
-Forklift Operator, preferred.
-Reading comprehension: understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
-Critical thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
-Service orientation: Actively looking for ways to help people
-This position involves sitting and/or walking for considerable lengths of time
-Bending to floor level is required
-Ability to lift 50 lbs.
-Work environment ranges from office area to hangar floor and storage facilities.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation/Aerospace preferred.
