JOB DESCRIPTION
The Program Manager shall serve as the single-point-of-contact for all Aircraft Maintenance and Operations Contract (AMOC) activities; will have full authority to act for the Contractor on all matters relating to the contract; and will respond to NASA CO and COR requests within a specific period established at the time of request.

The PM is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects; oversees all aspects of projects; sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes the progress of all projects. The PM prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of projects; should be familiar with a variety of aviation maintenance regulations, concepts, practices, and procedures; and will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

The CMPM is the senior onsite representative of AMOC and reports directly to the NASA Airworthiness and Maintenance Manager. The PM is responsible for managing the daily work of assigned contract maintenance personnel; develops contractor mission, projects, and task estimates; provides manpower planning and historical data; tracks accrued costs; manages scheduling; and assigns contractor assets and capabilities in the most cost effective manner to ensure success for the Aircraft Office’s mission. The PM is responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities, to include project installations, are conducted in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual, the contract, and any other applicable NASA Procedures and Guidelines. The PM will remain on site, though may deploy with an aircraft if necessary.


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous management experience of a diverse workforce.
Ability to administer and ensure the compliance of standards on quality assurance plans, employee certifications, logs and records, tool control and inspections, etc.
Proven track record of completing projects on schedule, within budget, with satisfied customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Knowledge of NASA procedures and guidelines is recommended.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
BS degree and at least 5-7 years of experience in the field or related area.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)
A current A & P License and PMP Certification are preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Up to 10% travel with this position.
