JOB DESCRIPTION
The Logistics Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting of aircraft parts and equipment, and related services. Analyzes and coordinates the logistical functions of the NASA Aircraft Maintenance, Logistics, Integration, Configuration Management and Engineering (ALICE) contract. Responsibilities address the life cycle of products, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, deliver and final disposal. Manages logistics personnel, logistics system and directs daily operations. Monitors organizational compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations. Manages Government equipment and inventory assigned to the contract.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1) Ten (10) + years’ experience in the aerospace industry.
2) Four (4) years’ experience in a leadership role.
3) Proven track record of completing projects on schedule, within budge, with satisfied customers.
4) Strong and proven team building, team leading and interpersonal skills.
5) Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
6) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7) Experience with NASA or other Government contracting agencies.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
10% Travel.
