JOB DESCRIPTION

**This requisition is specifically for those wishing consideration and NOT currently assigned as WFF contract IOC Instructors for the UAS Training Battalion at Ft Huachuca, AZ. Employment Contingent Upon Contract Award**

Individuals serving in IO Course Flight Instructor Operator roles provide instruction to military personnel in the skills necessary to be an effective Unit Instructor Operator for Shadow UAS and Gray Eagle UAS. Instruction includes the following topics:

1) All Academic/Oral Evaluation topics outlined in Chapter 3 of the TC 3-04.61 and TC 3-04.63 preparatory to system specific training in the operation of Shadow and Gray Eagle UASs.
2) Assessment and evaluation techniques as described in FAA-H-8083-9A Aviation Instructor's Handbook.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

1. Develops; tests; maintains; and delivers moderately complex flight and simulations training programs. 
 
2. Establishes and reviews course content as required.
 
3. Maintains records of training activities; participant progress; and flight information.
 
4. Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance. 
 
5. Stays current with new training; educational; and multimedia technologies. 
 
6. Maintains current knowledge (currency) of all equipment and software utilized by our customer to provide training. 
 
7. Participates in special projects within the scope of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), as required.
 
8. May be required to operate/instruct any of the customer's UAS platforms, based on customer’s training throughput (surge)

9. Retains currency on assigned platform and may be required to provide part-time/surge support to MOS/ASI courses 

10. May lead, supervise and evaluate teams or projects

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

1) NOT currently employed as IOC Instructor at Ft Huachuca, AZ (others apply to different posting)
2) 4 years’ experience on the Shadow 200 UAS and/or Gray Eagle UAS, with at least 200 hours. (documented)
3) Experience as a designated Standardization Operator 
4) Strong interpersonal, coaching and team building skills
5) Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
6) Experience with the U.S. Army or other Government contracting agencies
7) Must be able to ascend and descend stairs; stand for an extended period of time up to at least 50 minutes and walk at least 100 meters across uneven or unpaved surfaces
8) Must be able to perform shift work when required to meet customer needs
9) Must be a US Citizen

Preferred: 

10) Prior TRADOC experience (Flight hours as IO in training environment count 2 to 1 over hours logged as AO in the field)
11) Lead experience in a training environment
12) Familiarity with ISO- certified Quality Management System 
13) Current active US Secret Clearance

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Graduate, Degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or work/military experience preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

System qualification in either Shadow 200 TUAS version 1 (V1) or version 2 (V2) or system qualification in Gray Eagle MQ-1C UAS on software version 4.3.3 (UGCS) or later 
Must have at least 200 flight hours  on Shadow 200 and/or Gray Eagle UAS
As part of the Aircrew Training Program (see TC 3-04.61/63): (1)Instructor must be able to obtain and maintain a flight physical per AR 95-20 (2) Completion of Instructor Operator Course.
Completion of Method of Instruction (MOI) requirements.
Perform duties as Standardization Operator (SO) 
Maintain Currency requirements and Flight Hour Minimums
Travel up to 10% required.
