JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a MD-530 qualified mechanic and instructor looking for a new a opportunity?  Are you interesting in joining an employee-owned organization that continues to grow and make a difference?  If yes, we’re looking for you!

We need a skilled instructor to go to Kabul and teach Afghan student aircraft mechanics using Pinnacle's state-of-the-art Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT). You will introduce students to the MD-530 and its component subsystems, reference the tech manuals for tasks at hand, and then dive into the steps of the jobs--all in the VMT's virtual environment before they take your lessons to the flightline and then apply them to a real helicopter. Your efforts and abilities will be the foundation for the Afghan Air Force’s aircraft maintenance successes!

You need to be experienced on the helicopter and be a qualified instructor.  More than that, you need to be a teacher, able to engage with your students across language and culture barriers and give them the tools they need for success—to be able to instruct different techniques to different students based on their learning styles in order to satisfy a procedural requirement.  

Be ready and able to travel internationally, motivated, meet the health and training standards required by the Army and DCMA, and we’ll talk!

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- 6 + years of experience in aviation maintenance
- Experience with presenting programs of instruction
- Highly proficient with reading and interpreting maintenance manuals and blueprints
- Experience supporting maintenance training efforts
- Tech-Savvy / Computer Literate including Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with computer-based learning
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Intercultural Communication; Diversity & Inclusion
- Technical Instruction & Technical Training
- Public Speaking & Presentations
- Student Development, Performance Evaluation, and Feedback

Skills/Experience Preferences:
- FAA A&P License
- Previous experience working in an OCONUS environment
Six years experience MD-530 maintenance; instructor qualified plant (A&P) License.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

HS diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s Degree, preferably in a either a management, instructional training, or technical discipline preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

Must be a US Citizen.
