JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is contingent upon contract award.


The Aviation Safety Manager is responsible for all air, ground, and industrial safety programs at their assigned airfield in support of the program. The Aviation Safety Manager is responsible for providing guidance and direction for the planning, implementation and operation of the organization’s safety management system (SMS).

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a graduate of the U.S. Army Aviation Safety Officer Program, Naval and Marine Aviation Safety Officer Course or the U.S. Air Force Flight Safety Officer Course and have five years of experience managing and administering an aviation safety program.
A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Safety Manager developing, performing, managing and supervising safety programs and
operations of similar size and complexity.
CH-47D/F or MH-47E/G Experience Required
Airfield Safety Officer experience desired
AR-95-20 experience desired
Accident investigation experience desired
Must have strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong MS Suite skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Experience briefing both internal and external customers.
Experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia preferred and experience OCONUS required.

Skills/Experience Preferences:
CH-47D/F or MH-47E/G Operational Experience Preferred
Army Aviation Battalion level or higher Safety management experience preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience required.
Master's Degree preferred.
10 years of experience in program/project management, preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

Must be a US Citizen.
