JOB DESCRIPTION

The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for providing quality assurance through the testing of Pinnacle’s leading-edge software products. The successful candidate will work closely with various development teams to establish and maintain the implementation of test plans in support of continuous integration and deployment of our software programs. This position will be key to ensuring the on-time delivery of quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities include:
•Participate in Agile standup meetings for tracking and reporting program status
•Participate and contribute in document peer reviews
•Conduct Functional, Regression and Formal Testing
•Generate detailed technical discrepancy reports to capture software defects
•Provide reporting of quality metrics
•Maintain familiarity with internal processes to adhere to CMMI and AS9100 standards

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Experience with software testing, including creating and implementing user interface, component and system-level tests
2. Ability to run Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP)
3. Experience with Windows is required, Linux desired.
4. Ability to generate accurate and detailed bug reports is required.
5. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
6. Must be able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
7. Must be able to prioritize workload and adapt to changing schedules.
8. Strong MS Office tools experience, to include Excel, is required.
9. Strong grammatical skills is a must.
10. Experience with tracing requirements from the statement of work to the final product is desired.

Skills/Experience Preferences:
1. Experience writing automated functional tests is desired.
2. Experience with security vulnerability and black box testing is desired.
3. Familiarity with task tracking software such as Jira or Trello (Jira preferred) is desired.
4. Familiarity with CMMI-DEV environment and Agile practices is a plus.
5. Experience with SharePoint is desired.
6. Experience with Captivate is a plus.
7. Experience with testing government IMI is a plus.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field with 2+ years of experience.
An additional 4 years of applicable experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

Must be a US Citizen. 
Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a SECRET clearance.
Ability to pass the CSTE exam is desired.
