JOB DESCRIPTION

Project Engineering bridges engineering and project management by leading the technical workers who contribute to the building of products.  Pinnacle is looking for a Project Engineer who can help plan projects and lead a team to achieve project success. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing project development criteria, coordinating the review of project requirements and designs, and ensuring the proper implementation of project elements. If you are a detail-oriented software professional with 5 or more years experience in leadership or project management, we encourage you to apply.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of projects.
• Plans and formulates engineering program; review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Coordinates activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management
• Develops and recommends project staffing plans and utilizes assigned personnel to establish roles for project success throughout project life cycle
• Leads efforts across multiple engineering domains, communicate with engineering functional manager and leads to plan, coordinate and utilize specialized contributions and skills.
• Leads the preparation of requirements, engineering designs and work specifications
• Reconciles conflicting viewpoints on best designs in cases of major magnitude of importance and renders decisions.
• Determines project priorities and coordinates with project area leads to assign and track daily tasks to project team members
• Performs engineering design evaluations and works with development teams to complete projects within the restraints of budget and schedule
• Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
• Responsible for ensuring that the team meets project milestones, and as necessary, coordinating employee overtime with PMs and managers
• Provides input to the project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
• Communicates the project schedule to the team for completing the project milestones
• Communicates with the Program Manager for updates, questions, comments, concerns
• Collaborates with Quality Assurance to confirm product performance goals met through testing
• Works with engineering and development teams to identify technical and program risks and define plans for risk mitigation.
• Supports testing at all levels and ensure resolution of all in-house and customer-noted discrepancies, and coordinate configuration and delivery of the final product with management

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

5 years project leadership or management experience desired
Software programming experience required, preferably C, C++, C#
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related field required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

US Citizenship required.
