The Simulator Maintenance Technician II is responsible for analyzing malfunctions and performing repair, calibration, inspection, overhaul, modifications, reprogramming, maintenance support and operation of simulators, trainers, computers and digital image visual systems.


Three to five years of experience as a flight Simulator Technician or equivalent is desired with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex non-routine Problems. Experience should include component level test and repair of microprocessor controlled equipment.
Ability to interpret schematics, ability to isolate malfunctions using numerous electronic test equipment.
Must have the physical abilities required to talk, hear, sit, stand, and walk, and use hands to finger, handle and feel objects or controls. Must lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb ladders to 20 to 40 feet.
Normal color vision is required.
Must pass Drug test.


High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A completion of a civilian or military basic Electronic program.
BSEE or BSME degree is highly desired.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
