JOB DESCRIPTION

**This requisition is for those NOT currently supporting the UAS Training Battalion on the WFF contract at Ft Huachuca, AZ. Contingent Upon Contract Award**

Individuals serving as platform instructors (Shadow Mission System) are required to provide instruction to military personnel per the following general and specific requirements:

General Instructor requirements:
1. Develops; tests; maintains; and delivers training programs.
2. Establishes and reviews course content as required.
3. Maintains records of training activities and participant progress.
4. Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance.
5. May provide leadership and evaluation for other instructors, as assigned.
6. Stays current with new training; educational; and multimedia technologies.
7. Maintains current knowledge (currency) of all equipment and software utilized by our customer in this area.
8. Participates in special projects within the scope of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), as required.

Specific topics, subject to change with system or course updates:

1) Capabilities and system logic of the Shadow 200 UAS System and its payloads, and memorization of immediate action emergency procedures and system limitations.
2) Emplace, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), power-up, power-down, and displace the Shadow 200 UAS.
3) AV Preflight Inspection and Before Engine Start (AV and Launcher) inspection.
4) Shadow 200 Technical Manuals (TMs) and common terms and acronyms familiarization.
5) Research Paper and Oral Presentations on system components.
6) Familiarity and application of DA PAM 738-751 (TAMMS) using logbook software.
7) Familiarization with Aircraft Operator (AO) Vehicle Control Software (VCS) software panels.
8) Description of how the aircraft is tracked by the Ground Data Terminal (GDT).
9) Understanding of signal flow between system components (uplinks, downlinks, and GDT communications).
10) Familiarization with Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED) and how it is used during Shadow 200 flights.
11) Understanding of how to read a weather flimsy (local weather report).
12) Determination of runway heading selection based on surface winds.
13) Understanding of how Above Ground Level (AGL) altitude is calculated by the Shadow 200 system.
14) Understanding of GDT Calibration.
15) Familiarization with Ground Control Station (GCS) Telemetry Switches and signal flow.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

1) NOT currently working in this position (incumbents apply to different posting)
2) Minimum of 4 years’ experience operating or maintaining a Shadow 200 System.
3) Strong interpersonal, coaching and team building skills
4) Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
5) Must be able to ascend and descend stairs; stand for an extended period of time up to at least 50 minutes and walk at least 100 meters across uneven or unpaved surfaces
6) Experience with the U.S. Army or other Government contracting agencies.
7) Must be a US Citizen

Preferred: 

1) Prior TRADOC experience
2) Prior military or contractor license for Government/Military vehicles and equipment
3) Familiarity with ISO- certified Quality Management System 
4) Current active US Secret clearance

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Graduate, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or work/military experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

Must be able to support shift work.
Travel up to 10% required.
