JOB DESCRIPTION

Oversee routine department activities to include the processing of: vouchers, expense reports, travel vouchers, ACH and check runs, wire transfers, garnishment payments, monthly commitments that advise of any costs accrued, 1099 and 1096 filings
Routine Accounting Activities will include but are not limited to: Manage company credit card program; Deposit checks; Review and approve cash receipt postings; Remit sales and use tax payments to correct government agencies
Reconcile general ledger accounts for credit cards, travel advances, deposits, garnishments, etc.
Review travel policy & practices for compliance with FAR and other applicable regulations
Lead an Accounts payable staff of 2

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

7 years in Accounting with leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computers, especially Excel
Strong planning and problem‐solving skills

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES: 
Experience with FAR31.205‐46 travel, experience in Accounts Payable, Experience in Deltek CostPoint or Time & Expense

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
4 years of experience in accounting may substitute for a degree.
