JOB DESCRIPTION

Aircraft avionics technician troubleshoots, inspects, repairs, and tests aircraft avionics systems that perform communications, navigation, radar systems, collision avoidance, and flight control functions. Removes or relocates electrical and electronic components and wiring to facilitate the installation of new electric/electronic equipment. Research, provide bill of material, fabricate/modify and install wire harness assemblies to support aging aircraft inspection and refurbishment program. The incumbent performs and/or assists with some duties associated with other trades. The level of skill, knowledge, and responsibility associated with other trades varies but is not intended to surpass the grade assigned to the positions. Must have ability to read, understand, and apply trade or administrative guides such as technical manuals, technical orders, standard repairs, blueprints, wiring, diagrams, sketches, and other related documentation. Verifiable certificates/education should be noted on resume.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Four (4) years of experience in aircraft electronics installation, troubleshooting and repair.
CH-47D/F or MH-47E/G experience required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED and appropriate EASA/ICAO or FAA license/certification.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

Must be a US Citizen.
