JOB DESCRIPTION

The Software Manager is primarily responsible for the growth, development and direction of Pinnacle’s Virtual Maintenance Programs software team.  As a manager the candidate will:
-Evaluate and assign tasks to software team members based on individual skills and availability to meet cost and schedule deadlines. 
-Foster professional growth of the software team by identifying opportunities for individual contributions and delegating as appropriate
-Mentor developers by providing technical and process leadership to solve problems 
-Provide oversight of task completion by contributing to planning estimates and assessing progress against estimates
- Strong interpersonal, coaching and team building skills.
- Must be effective in communicating with technical and non-technical customers alike.

The Software Manager will be a technical contributor as a Sr. Software Engineer contributing to serious game production.  The software team consists of game developers and designers who collaborate directly with equipment Subject Matter Experts and the 3d art team.  As a software engineer the candidate will be expected to perform the following tasks:
- Contribute to the development of new features and resolution of existing defects.
- Contributing to the creation of software requirements/technical specification, implementation, test, and deployment.
-Use your knowledge of software processes, design patterns, and software production to deliver software solutions.
-Work collaboratively with a cross-disciplinary team of art, programming, and production to produce applications for training purposes. 

Software Team Tools:
Git, Unity, C#, mysql

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1) 3+ years demonstrated Management or Leadership experience.
2) Experience developing project plans including cost and schedule.
3) Expert skills in object oriented programming or game development in C#/Unity
4) Experience both following and developing process documentation.
5) Prior experience in serious game development desired.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Game Development, Engineering or Computer Science.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

Must be a US Citizen. 
Active security clearance is desired.
Travel up to 10% required.
