JOB DESCRIPTION

The Simulator Technician I is responsible for accomplishing The day to day Maintenance of Aircrew training. Devices. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Aircrew Training Devices(ATD) and associated equipment down to component level if necessary. Provide customer support regarding operational procedures. Completes Maintenance data collection, Monitors and track repair status. Maintain maintenance activity log, Assist the lead technicians while troubleshooting Inoperative equipment and assists in Accomplishing function systems checks. Assists the lead technician with collateral duties such as supply, inventory control and associated administrative functions. Maintains and completes prescribed records and maintenance forms. Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to interpret schematics
Ability to isolate malfunctions using numerous electronic Test equipment.
Must have the physical abilities required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle and feel objects or controls.
Must lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb ladders to 20 to 40 feet.
Normal color vision is required.
Must pass Drug test.

Skills/Experience Preferences:
At least one year of experience as a flight simulator technician or equivalent is desired. A demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex non-routine problems.
Experience should include component level test and repair of microprocessor controlled equipment. Knowledge of Hydraulic Motion Systems and Pneumatic systems

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a civilian or military Basic Electronic is required.
BSEE or BSME degree is highly desired.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Certifications, Etc.)

Must be able to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance.
